Jackie Evancho has a truly amazing voice. Evancho is a hugely talented singer, and she gave an amazing rendition of God Bless America at the 2016 celebration July 4th celebration in Washington DC this last summer.

Evancho had an orchestra and chorus backing her, and sang God Bless America with the full sound of the orchestra complimenting her fine voice.

This time, after singing the song, an entire backing chorus joined in as Evancho sang the verses again, creating an entirely new experience out of a familiar song.

Then things really get going with the third round of God Bless America, when Evancho asks the excited the crowd to sing the anthem together with her. It is difficult to describe just how much this was truly a magical moment as the huge crowd, the giant choir and Evancho all came together for a spectacular birthday celebration for our country.

The announcer at the event informed the crowd God Bless America was written by Irving Berlin in 1918, and then revised in 1938. Berlin originally wrote the tune as a hymn instead of a song, which is the main reason why this patriotic paean is so emotionally powerful.
