THINK YOU CAN SEE WHAT’S HIDING AMONG THESE ROCKS?

When you look at this picture, no doubt you’re thinking it’s just a pile of rocks. They’re pretty rocks, but only rocks just the same.

Maybe you should look closer.

In the center of the pile, there are no rocks at all– what you’re looking at is the human body. This person’s body was painted by Johannes Stötter to make it blend into the pile of rocks.

Stötter first began getting attention as an artist when he painted a group of people in a careful arrangement so that they looked like a frog sitting on a leaf. He’s also body painted people to like dogs, fish and lizards.

The artist has continued with his camouflage work. His ‘rock’ person body painting is spectacular. He has another image of a person painted to blend into a pile of autumn leaves.

In addition to body painting, Stötter is also a musician and visual artist. Talk about a Renaissance man.
