POLICE ISSUE HORRIFIC WARNING, IF YOU SEE A TENNIS BALL ON THE GROUND DON’T TOUCH IT!
Authorities in Washington are warning people to beware of household items left outside on the ground. They may be booby traps, and touching the wrong item might result in a serious injury.
Police in Kent warned local dog owners not to let their dogs pick up tennis balls they find on the ground. Some individuals have been making explosives inside balls using fireworks. Explosions can instantly injure or kill an animal, or a human.
Tennis balls aren’t the only objects found with bombs tucked inside. Pipes and other kinds of containers that were turned into homemade bombs have been discovered, particularly around the Fourth of July.
“People light them, leave them thinking it’s a dud, but who knows what’s happening on the inside. Then a dog comes and picks it up…” warned Jarod Kasner of the Kent Police Department.
One clue is that ‘dud’ bombs could have fuses, tape or may even be smoldering. Until the trend ends, it may be dangerous to test your luck.
