JULIANNE HOUGH POSTS PHOTO ON SOCIAL MEDIA, WHAT’S IN THE PHOTO IS SPARKING HUGE CONTROVERSY

To say that social media has changed society immensely would be an understatement, and the long-term ramifications are still not completely understood. That being the case, some people are still feeling their way around what is and what isn’t acceptable, but there’re a few unwritten rules that are thought to be common sense.

As Yahoo points out, that common sense is not shared by all proponents of social media. Julianne Hough decided that it was appropriate to share photos of the funeral of her grandfather, complete with a snap of her brother mourning at the open casket. Users on social media were not kind.

“Why would you post such a personal family moment on social media. Poor choice,” wrote one user.

While social media has changed the way we communicate forever, that doesn’t mean that good graces and judgment need to by the wayside.

“Why do we have to post everything on social media?? When I’m at a funeral of someone I love I’m too overcome with Grief to do something like this just so others can see it??” another user wrote.
