DONALD TRUMP MIGHT NOT WORK FROM THE OVAL OFFICE IN THE FIRST YEAR – PRESIDENT OBAMA IS TO BLAME FOR THAT
When you’re getting ready to start a new job, it’s not uncommon to hope to have everything in place so you can hit the ground running from day one. As the Daily Mail reports, a small wrench has been thrown into the plans of President-elect Donald Trump, and it sounds like he’ll be working out of a different office entirely after Inauguration Day.
There’s no problem with his job itself, as Trump remains in line to assume the duties of the highest office in the land, but the state of the Oval Office itself is another matter entirely. Turns that it’s in need of some substantial renovations that have been put off for some time. That’s the word from former White House adviser Karl Rove, who served in the administration of George W. Bush.
“My understanding is that for the first year of his time in office, President Trump will not have the Oval Office,” he said.
Rove adds that Trump “will spend most of his first year using Richard Nixon’s old office in the Old Executive Office Building across executive drive and up the Navy steps.”
