DONALD TRUMP DECIDES WHETHER OR NOT HE WILL PURSUE PROSECUTING HILLARY CLINTON – WHAT DO YOU THINK?
After a knock-out, drag-out brawl that takes a tremendous personal toll on all involved parties, sometimes it’s best to figuratively shake hands and move on. That’s what President-elect Trump and his team have been trying to do in regards to a potential investigation into wrongdoing on the part of Hillary Clinton, but the media simply won’t let it go.
“I don’t want to hurt the Clintons, I really don’t. She went through a lot and suffered greatly in many different ways,” Trump reportedly told the New York Times.
That’s sent the majority of the mainstream media into a tizzy, and they’ve been going out of their way to point out that Trump is backing down on a promise he made on the campaign trail. While that’s certainly one way to look at it, there’s also something to be said for cooler heads prevailing once the battle has been won.
Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s former campaign manager, has also been doing her part to put the issue behind the president-elect.
“I think when the President-elect, who’s also the head of your party, tells you before he’s even inaugurated that he doesn’t wish to pursue these charges, it sends a very strong message, tone and content,” she said during an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
